ABOUT US
Empowering Refugees Through Clean, Sustainable Energy Solutions
Eco-Energy Voice was born in 2024 in the heart of Kakuma Refugee Camp, Kenya—one of the world’s largest refugee settlements. Our organization emerged from a deep need: to tackle the growing energy crisis affecting thousands of displaced and host community families.
Founded by Yuhana Luka Nabashti, a passionate energy practitioner and peacebuilder, Eco-Energy Voice is driven by the belief that real change begins when communities lead the way. After years of experience with organizations like SNV and Saidia Community Initiative, Yuhana saw firsthand how lack of access to clean, affordable energy keeps families in cycles of poverty, poor health, and environmental degradation.
Together with a committed team of local professionals, he launched Eco-Energy Voice to bring inclusive, sustainable energy solutions where they’re needed most.
